Arizona State (7-14, 0-12 Pac-12) junior guard Tyi Skinner put up another dominant performance, but it wasn’t enough as the UCLA Bruins (18-6 Overall, 7-5 Pac-12) defeated the Sun Devils 82-63 on Sunday.

Skinner led all scorers with 28 points and tied her career high of 3-pointers made with six on nine attempts. She finished 1 point shy of her career-high with her 11th 20-point game of the season. She also set a mark for the most points by an opposing player vs UCLA this season.

The Bruins were led by senior guard Charisma Osborne, who finished with 23 points, four assists and five rebounds. She also shot a perfect 5-for-5 from the free-throw line. As a team, the Bruins shot 15-of-16 from the foul line. Free-throw shooting was an issue for the Sun Devils as they shot 9-18 from the line.

ASU also was not able to get any production from their bench, with the starters accounting for 57 of the team’s 63 points. For UCLA, freshman guard Londynn Jones scored 20 points in 24 minutes off the bench, her third 20-point performance of the year.

The Sun Devils started the game on a 6-0 run and battled in the second quarter, allowing them to enter the half trailing 35-29. Arizona State shot 11-of-23 in the half and was led by junior guard Treasure Hunt with 11 points.

In the second half, the Bruins shot 17-of-30 and outscored Arizona State by 13 in the final 20 minutes. This game marked the seventh time that the Sun Devils have allowed 80 or more points in a game.

Arizona State will head back to Desert Financial Arena for a four-game home stand beginning on Friday against the California Golden Bears. After those four games, they will head to Oregon for a pair of games to finish the season.
